At 6'2", I was a short guy on the basketball court. Many of my opponents were six inches taller than me. There was a certain shot that I loved to make on them. Was it this one? Definitely not. I could barely jump high enough to dunk the ball (the video was made using a low basket). I would lure a tall opponent into thinking he was going to take advantage of the height difference and block my shot. It would be amusing to see his eyes get big when he was sure he was going to block it, but he didn't realize what was coming. If I were to take a low trajectory shot, it would indeed get blocked. Instead, I would arc the ball on a high trajectory so that the defender could only helplessly flail at it. The ball would hang in the air long enough for the defender to turn around, follow the ball through the trajectory, and react when it swished through the net. It takes practice to develop the touch to make such shots, but it's a great way to frustrate taller players. After developing a touch for the high arc shot, it's easy to make shots from way behind the backboard. When I used to line up to take shots like that playing HORSE, the opponent would look at me like I was crazy, and then his jaw would hit the ground when I swished the shot. There was a blooper in the making of this video.
